The fried chicken is delicious! Very light batter, super crispy but juicy inside. I believe the chicken is brined. It has great flavor. You do not need any sauces! The chicken is made to order so it does take a bit of time. There's free street parking. The interior is very outdated but I was there for the fried chicken. Very affordable prices. I would definitely return.

The best fried chicken EVER PERIOD. We don’t go anywhere else for fried chicken. It’s all delicious from the chicken to the fries to the little bread bun. Everyone there is super sweet. Sylvia, the owner, is the sweetest. The old school style inside is cozy & brings so much nostalgia. We love it here.

TLDR: food is good (and fresh), value is good, service slow and cleanliness poor. A big point I’ll give to this restaurant is that I saw our food being made and although it took over half an hour for my wings to be ready I have confidence they were made fresh and they tasted good. This is fried chicken that is made without a lot of breading so it isn’t for everybody but I liked the style. Also to mention that the wings and fries were very reasonably priced where it felt like a steal. The cleanliness of this establishment isn’t inspiring with the fries in the fridge on open display and the tables unkempt although the hand sanitizer at the entrance is nice.

The older women who works here is super sweet and she makes the food with love. She makes the food right in front of you. If you are in a rush to get food, this may not be the place for you. The order takes about 20 minutes. You can place an order on the phone. I ordered 2 chicken platters. 3 pieces of chicken and a lot of fries. The chicken here is the best in the area without including big franchises. My only regret was not getting the 8 piece instead of the platter. You get more chicken.

Summary: For the price and quality, Broasterant may serve the best fried chicken in the Hartford area. The fried chicken is consistently juicy and seasoned perfectly. The chicken plate is also accompanied by a mountain of french fries and dinner roll. The owner is very friendly and the service is excellent. Must Try: Fried chicken plate or any other size. Also recommended: Shrimp and fries plate. Avoid: N/A ⭐⭐⭐⭐ - Great, worth a detour

Hey, its your girl Honest Review. Man o' man, how am I just finding out about this place? I think this is hands down the best made to order fried chicken in Hartford. The owner was super friendly. There is nothing pre-made in that restaurant. You have to call ahead for them to start it, or when you get there, you wait. I had the 16-piece fried chicken only. You can get a 3 piece with fries and roll or chicken by itself. I'll definitely be back!! Shout out to the owner for having historic Park Street memorabilias on the walls in the restaurant. Peace yall!
